Philippines: 6 months later

Philippines: 6 months later

In October 2013 a 7.2 earthquake struck the island of Bohol Philippines devastating villages and families with rain and mudslides. Little did the residents of the Philippines realize that just a few weeks later they would be hit with one of the largest and most devastating Typhoons to ever hit the Island nation. 6 months after the devastation occurred I will leading a team to do relief work on 4 different islands in the Philippines.

One thing people always ask me is; “I can’t go on the trip, but I want to help. What can I do?”

Our partners in the Philippines have requested reading glasses. Many of the tangible needs (food, water, etc) have been met already, but one thing that has been overlooked is the elderly and sight challenged individuals of the Philippines. If you want to help us make a difference in the Philippines, would you consider any of the following:

  1. Make a financial donation here.
  2. Send reading glasses (new or used, any style or strength) to me:

Benji Zimmerman

7950 W.Windmill Lane

Las Vegas NV 89113

*Must arrive before April 3rd, 2014

3. Help connect me to an organization or company where can purchase reading glasses for cheap? We already have funds donated but I would love to be able to get glasses at a reduced rate.

In the words of our friends in Bohol, “No amount of glasses is enough”.

Together lets make a difference in devastated areas of the Philippines.
