People . . . experiences . . . passions . . . so many things go into the who we are description. To bad that description never really fits into a nice little box like people want it to. Sure, I could subscribe to the status quo and write a little except using personal words like father & husband, or resume words like linchpin & self-starter, but that wouldn’t really do justice to who I really am. Yes, you can click the link to the left and read my resume and see that I have been a part of some outstanding nonprofits in the past.
However, I dare you to do something different: I challenge you to read between the lines of my resume and between those little tiny spaces of the letters and see where my life has been lived . . . The moments of genuine compassion, heartfelt remorse and exhilarating celebration. The joy of life lived in community, the redemption of the lost and the embrace of family. The struggle of communication, the feeling of forgiveness and the humility of learning the hard way.
God has given us all a story and endless amounts of grace and second chances. I believe my story is your story, it is the human story: home and work, kids and spouses, priorities and full calendars, brokenness and honesty, strength and strategy, but most of all love and relationships.
Whether you know me in real life, you are a social media friend or you find this website because a Google search led you here; my hope and prayer is that you find this a place where transparency, honesty and authentic living are both evident in who I am but also what I write about.
